high-pressure extrusion systems
We develop and implement custom high-pressure extrusion systems for processing ceramic compounds. The systems are designed to uniformly form even demanding materials under high pressure and ensure consistent, reproducible product quality.
Modern ceramic applications are placing increasingly higher demands on homogeneity, structural quality and process stability—especially for complex geometries and thin-walled structures. Through targeted design of the extrusion processes and optimized coordination of screw and barrel geometry, even very thin-walled structures can be produced precisely and with reliable process stability.
- Precise forming of ceramic compounds
- Suitable for thin-walled structures
- High process stability
- Optimized screw and barrel geometries
- Reduction of scrap
- Improved homogenization
- High throughput
- Reduced wear and maintenance effort
Application & process design
Based on extensive process analyses and practical operating experience, key parameters such as pressure ratios, temperature control, and shear and rearrangement processes within the ceramic compound are specifically influenced. This achieves stable processes, improved homogenization and consistently high product quality. Compaction can be specifically adjusted directly in the screw compactors, reducing or avoiding additional downstream systems. At the same time, the system combines multiple process steps in one unit, enabling a particularly space-saving and efficient implementation.
Integration & operational safety
A particular focus is on the further development of key components such as screw geometries, surface structures and modular designs. This increases throughput and process stability, reduces wear, and sustainably improves the efficiency of downstream process steps.
