fine glass
briquetting systems

Our systems for the solidification / briquetting of fine glass offer a globally unique and economically efficient solution for processing glass dust.

The process developed by SAB is internationally patented and currently represents the only industrially viable method for converting fine-grained glass residues into a processable form.

Solidification of fine glass for the recycling process

Through the targeted binding process, glass dust—which was previously difficult to handle and often had to be disposed of—is transformed into a defined, solid raw material. This allows the material to be returned to the recycling process. This makes a significant contribution to resource conservation and waste prevention.

Test facility and process-specific design

To safeguard investment decisions, SAB operates its own test facility on site. This gives customers the opportunity to test their specific raw material under real conditions and to generate representative samples in advance. These can be used for further melting trials and process analyses. A key feature of our systems is full automation. Loading and unloading are carried out by industrial robots or precise 3-axis manipulators. This minimizes manual intervention, increases process reliability, and sustainably boosts productivity.

Upstream process solutions

In addition, SAB offers upstream process solutions, for example, for the targeted removal of organic components from the raw material. This ensures optimal process stability and high quality of the final product. Each system is individually designed for the requirements of the respective process and optimally integrated into existing production environments. Furthermore, we develop and implement custom furnace solutions – precisely tailored to specific process requirements.
